Bible Verses for Tattoos

People choose Scripture for tattoos because they want to carry something steady with them, words that hold up on the hard days and the ordinary ones. A good verse for ink is one you have already lived with for a while, a line that has met you in real seasons rather than one that simply sounds beautiful. Before you sit down in the chair, sit with the verse. Read the whole passage around it so you know what it actually means, pray over it, and ask whether it will still ring true to you in twenty years. The verses below are the ones believers return to again and again. And remember, the verse matters far more than the ink. The mark on your skin is only a reminder of the One who has already marked you as his own.
